With the start of a new month, we’re eagerly anticipating the next birdwatching event. The wait is almost over, as our new birdwatching session is just around the corner!
Maksimir, 23. studenog
After saying goodbye to our migratory birds last month, we’re ready for the next birdwatching date. This time, it will be held in Maksimir Park on Saturday, November 23, starting at 9 a.m. We’ll meet at our usual spot near the Zoo employees’ entrance on the eastern side of Maksimir Park, located on Fakultetsko dobro Street. The exact location is marked on the map.
Unlike previous sessions, this will be our first bilingual birdwatching event of the year! The event will be led in English by our European Solidarity Corps volunteer, Zulfu Farajli, and a Croatian-speaking ornithologist will also be available for additional guidance.
The event is expected to last 2-3 hours, but you are welcome to join or leave at any time.
Birdwatching events are free and open to everyone, regardless of experience or membership in Biom. Donations are always appreciated.
We’ll provide a few bird identification guides and binoculars, but feel free to bring your own if you have them.
In case of poor weather, the event may be canceled, so keep an eye on our website and Facebook page for updates.
