This month (2nd,3rd and 4th December) we organized the sixth, and last, workshop as part of the project “Wildlife Watch – increasing capacities for the sustainable use and monitoring of wildlife”, during which the participants took the course “Tourist guide training”, organized by VMD tourist agency.
During the first day the participants learned through several lectures about Croatian geography, tourist guide ethics and tourism in general. During the second day, lectures were held on the political and economic system of Croatia and cultural and historical monuments and other landmarks. The third day was about Croatian history and tourism legislation. Additionally, each participant had to prepare in advance a short presentation during which they pretended to be a tourist guide, guiding a group to a specific destination.
We would like to thank all participants of the workshop, VMD tourist agency, as well as Velebit Nature Park for their hospitality!
