To raise awareness about the importance of promoting ecology and encourage citizens to preserve the environment and natural heritage, we are pleased to announce our new project “Connecting with Nature” in the city of Sinj. Autumn is the time when many birds start their migration, which is an excellent opportunity to observe them and learn more about locally present species and how to contribute to their protection. As part of the celebration of European Birdwatching Day, we will organize educational lectures on the importance of birds and practical workshops for making birdhouses and feeders. Interested citizens will be guided by our experts on an early morning walk and birdwatching tour.
For those who want to learn more about urban biodiversity and its importance, locally present species, and karst nature, we will organize educational sessions and social gatherings. Through several meetings, we will introduce citizens to ways they can independently contribute to nature conservation, whether through planting plants that serve as food sources for pollinators, making and installing birdhouses and feeders, and more.
With this project, we aim to encourage citizens, especially youth, to become active participants in preserving nature and its heritage and to take a step together towards a more sustainable future.
