This year at the beginning of July we hosted twenty Belgian volunteers in a camp in Nature Park Učka. During their staying in the camp they participated in activities in habitat restoration. Other than these activities, they also had opportunity to see different bird species that live inside the Park.
Ecological succession is a natural process when trees and bushes spread on meadows and the meadow`s biodiversity changes. Together with some plant species, butterfly species, bird species and many other disappear. To prevent loss of meadows inside NP Učka, BIOM conducts habitat restoration activities for a few years now together with our local and international volunteers.
