World Wetland Day is celebrated every year on February 2nd. This year, in collaboration with Association Baobab and Croatian post Inc., NGO BIOM is organizing photo exhibition named “Regional park Mura Drava – harmonious coexistence of man and nature” (photos by Goran Safarek). Exhibition will take place at Croatian post Gallery, Jurisiceva 13, Zagreb, Croatia.

Opening of the exhibition is Thursday, February 2nd 2012 in 3 PM. and lasts till Saturday, February 25th 2012. The exhibition is open every working day from 8 AM to 8 PM and Saturday’s from 8 AM to 1 PM.

Regionalni park Mura Drava is first regional park in Croatia and it was declared in 2011. It took a decade of struggle to protect Mura and Drava rivers and it was confirmation of importance of these two rivers. Final proof of Mura and Drava importance will come with its inclusion in Man and the Biosphere Programme (by UNESCO).

Project “Regional park Mura Drava – Harmonious Coexistence of Man and Nature” is carried by Association Baobab in cooperation with public institutions for managing protected areas ​​in the five counties along the river Drava. It is financed by Croatian Ministry of Culture.
